No me puedo creer que hoy sea el último día del campamento de verano y que cuatro semanas se hayan pasado voladas! Como siempre, Los viernes son día del agua así que a los niños se les permitió traer sus bañadores, pistolas de agua y toallas.
I can’t believe that today is the last day of summer camp and four weeks have already flown by! As always, Friday is water day so the children were allowed to bring their swimming costumes, water pistols and towels.
Antonio montó la piscina a las 8 de la mañana para que el agua ya se hubiese calentado para cuando llegaran los niños a las 10.
Antonio had set the paddling pool up at 8am so the water had already warmed up by the time the children arrived at 10am.
Hoy era el cumpleaños de Iñigo de la clase de Ms Michelle. Su madre nos hizo una tarta de zanahoria vegana usando nuestra receta para que todos los niños intolerantes a la lactosa y alérgicos al huevo pudiesen comérsela. Estaba muy bien decorada con chuches y velas. Toda la clase le cantó feliz cumpleaños con Ms Michelle tocando el acordeón. Se sopló las velas, pidió un deseo y luego cogió una chuche especial de la academia por su cumpleaños. ¡La tarta estaba deliciosa!
Today was Iñigo´s birthday from Ms Michelle´s group. His mother very kindly made a vegan carrot cake using our recipe so that all of the lactose intolerant and children allergic to eggs could eat it. It was beautifully decorated with sweets and a candle. The whole class sang happy birthday to him with Ms Michelle playing the piano accordion, he blew out his candles, made a wish and then helped himself to an academy treat. The cake was delicious!
Después del desayuno los juegos de agua y actividades al exterior continuaron. Incluso el castillo se mojó para hacerlo más resbaladizo y más fresquito para saltar arriba y abajo! Algunos de los niños prefirieron disfrazarse dentro.
Los niños se pintaron la cara o los brazos, terminaron sus dibujos y se prepararon para la fiesta de despedida.
After breakfast the water games and outdoor activities continued. Even the bouncy castle was hosed down to make it even more slippy and a lot cooler to jump up and down on! Some of the children preferred to dress-up indoors.
The children had their faces or arms painted, they finished their drawings and got ready for the farewell party.
Todos fuimos a la sala de manualidades a bailar canciones como “gummy bear” y “Macarena” con las luces de discoteca puestas antes de que los profesores dieran los diplomas por haber cursado el campamento intensivo de inglés.
Everybody met in the arts and crafts room to dance to music like “gummy bear” and “Macarena” with the disco light on before the teachers gave out the diplomas for having attended an intensive summer course in English.
Los niños se despidieron hasta el verano que viene, llevandose sus plantas y dibujos a casa. Muchas gracias a todos los niños que trajeron regalos para sus profesores. Todos fueron muy apreciados.
The children said goodbye until next summer, taking their plants and pictures home. Thank you very much to all the children who brought presents in for their teachers. They are all highly appreciated.
Los profesores y familia después comieron spaguetti boloñesa juntos para despedirse de Mr Alex ya que hoy es su último día en el campamento. Se le regaló un teléfono nuevo junto con una tarjeta de despedida. Te echaremos de menos Mr Alex, mucha suerte en el futuro, esperamos que todos tus sueños se cumplan.
The teachers and family then all ate spaguetti bolonaise together to say goodbye to Mr. Alex as today is his last day at summer camp. He was gifted a new mobile telephone together with a goodbye card. We will miss you Mr. Alex, but good luck in the future, we hope all your dreams come true.
Así, otro campamento de verano llega a su fin. Os veremos a todos el verano de 2019 :)
