Summer camp 2023 Day 4

Día 4: LA TIERRA
¡Bienvenidos al cuarto día del campamento de verano en Campus Inglés!
¡Hoy celebramos el Día de la Tierra y hemos tenido un día lleno de actividades divertidas! Mientras jugaban en el patio y en el castillo inflable, los niños se rociaron con botellas de agua, ¡lo cual fue muy divertido! Tuvieron tiempo para jugar libremente en el patio, disfrutando de la casita y de las esponjas cuadradas, triángulos y pelotas grandes.

Day 4: EARTH
Welcome to the fourth day of summer camp at Campus Inglés!

Today we celebrated Earth Day, and it has been a day full of fun activities! While playing on the patio and the bouncy castle, the children sprayed themselves with water bottles, which was a lot of fun! They had free playtime on the patio, enjoying the little house and playing with sponge squares, triangles, and big balls.

Como hoy es el Día de la Tierra, los grupos plantaron berro en pequeñas tazas de tierra. Los regarán todos los días y los observarán mientras crecen. Es una manera maravillosa de aprender sobre el cuidado de las plantas y la importancia de la naturaleza.

As today is Earth Day, the groups planted cress in small cups of soil. They will water them daily and watch them grow. It’s a wonderful way to learn about plant care and the importance of nature.

Este año hemos agregado dos «tuff trays» a nuestra colección de juguetes. Son maravillosos como areneros y son perfectos para el día de hoy, el Día de la Tierra. A los niños les encantó jugar en la arena, ensuciarse y luego lavarse las manos.

This year, we have added two «tuff trays» to our collection of toys. They are marvelous as sand pits and perfect for today, Earth Day. The children loved playing in the sand, getting dirty, and then washing their hands.

Hoy los más pequeños realizaron experimentos al aire libre en las mesas de picnic bajo los toldos. Fue agradable, ya que había una brisa refrescante.

Today, the little ones did outdoor experiments on the picnic benches under the awnings. It was nice as there was a refreshing breeze.

En el interior, el proyecto de arte y manualidades fue una placa de masa de sal. Fue divertido mezclar, amasar y luego estirarla para decorarla con una hoja. La señorita Kerry se llevará las placas a casa para secarlas lentamente en su horno y las traerá mañana para que los niños las lleven a casa.

Indoors, the arts and crafts project was a salt dough plaque. It was fun to mix, shape, roll out, and decorate with a leaf. Miss Kerry will take them home to slowly dry them in her oven and bring them back tomorrow for the children to take home.

Las mesas de Lego están siendo muy populares. Hemos creado tres mesas de Lego pegando cuatro bases de Lego de 25 cm a mesas de Ikea. Cada mesa tiene un proyecto de Lego específico, como una comisaría de policía, una estación de bomberos, etc. De esta manera, los niños saben qué construir, pueden seguir las instrucciones y disfrutan mucho más en lugar de ver una caja enorme de Lego y no saber por dónde empezar.

The Lego tables are proving to be very popular. We have created three Lego tables by gluing four 25 cm Lego bases onto Ikea tables. Each table has just one Lego project, such as a police station or a fire station. This way, the children know what to build, they can follow the instructions, and they thoroughly enjoy it rather than feeling overwhelmed by a large box of Lego and not knowing where to start!

¡Hoy el grupo Miss Sasha ganó la competencia de puntos por hablar más inglés! ¡Bien hecho!

Continuamos disfrutando de cada momento en el campamento de verano, aprendiendo y divirtiéndonos juntos. ¡Mañana nos espera otro día lleno de sorpresas y aventuras!
