Hoy han venido los bomberos a visitarnos, así que comenzamos con un entrenamiento en el patio. Jugamos a poner una «escalera» en un camión con los ojos tapados y con las pistolas de agua disparando «llamas» pintadas en una casa de una cortina de ducha.
Today the firemen came to visit so we started off with a training session on the patio. We played at putting a «ladder» on the fire-truck blind-folded and water guns shooting painted «flames» on a house painted onto a shower curtain.
Después de desayunar los niños pusieron sus cascos de papel y medallas que hicieron ayer, para dar la bienvenida a los bomberos. Trajeron todos sus equipamiento para mostrar a los estudiantes y fueron absolutamente fantisticos. Dejaron a los niños probar su casco, su mascara de gas, sus botas y las botellas de oxigeno en la espalda, lo cual pesaba mucho! Enseñaron a los niños a cayer y rodarse en caso de fuego y explicaron que hacer si se encontrara en un edificio en llamas. Después salieron al patio y mostraron a los niños su mangera y tecnicas diferentes.
After breakfast all the children were wore their paper helmets that they made yesterday to greet the firemen. They bought all their equipment to show the students and were absolutely fantastic. They let the children try their helmet on, the gas mask, their boots and their oxygen bottles on their backs, which were really heavy! They showed the children how to drop and roll in case of fire and explained what to do if a building was on fire. They then went outside to show the children their hosepipe and different techniques.
Hoy fue el cumpleaños de Jennifer así que Ms Aloma trajó una tarta de cumpleaños para que sus compañeros les cantaron y compartiera la tarta con ella.
Today was also Jennifer’s birthday so Ms Aloma brought a birthday cake in so that her class-mates could sing to her and share the cake.
Después de que los bomberos se fueron, los niños tomaron sus turnos en el castillo hinchable mientras que otros terminaron sus manualidades, listos para llevar a casa.
After the firemen left the children had their turns on the bouncy castle while others finished their nail art and stone art ready to take home.
